About This Attraction

A 12th-century rock temple featuring four massive Buddha statues carved into a single granite rock face, created during the reign of King Parakramabahu I. The sculptures include two seated figures, a standing figure, and a large reclining Buddha often considered one of Sri Lanka’s greatest ancient stone carvings.
