Arrival & The Golden Temple of Dambulla
The Dambulla Cave Temple (or Golden Rock Temple) is a UNESCO World Heritage site in central Sri Lanka, recognized as the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in the country. Located 148 km east of Colombo, it features five main caves adorned with 153 Buddha statues, 3 royal statues, and extensive 1st-century BC to 18th-century murals.
