The Galle which was declared as a UNESCO world heritage site in Sri Lanka is one of most interested attraction among tourists. The city of galle plays a major role when it comes to Sri Lanka. 

The 18 meter high lighthouse in galle is also a popular attraction. This isSri Lanka’s oldest light station dating back to 1848, but the original 24.5 meter-high lighthouse built by the british was located about 100 meters from the current site.
